I'm not really here today, because . . .

Yes, it really is, and the above is a fairly accurate representation of me today.

I only hope my cake is as good as Emma's:

A Magnum, P.I. cake with chocolate sprinkle chest hair? Oh baby!

Also,

Because a hairy cake and a dirty martini would make my day.

What's your favorite way to celebrate your big day?

Happy Birthday!

My favorite way to spend my birthday is to do what I do everyday: exercise, read, and write. :D

PLUS I get to eat some extra yummy cake!!!

I think my next birthday I'm asking for a Magnum PI cake!

Have a wonderful birthday!!!

I love starting out my b-day with presents, then go out to lunch or dinner, then finish off with cake and more presents. LOL

Well, that cake certainly looks good enough to eat.

My birthday is coming up and I'm going to be 50. I still cannot believe it, and I cannot seem to come up with something HUGE to do. There is no family here for a big party, there is no cash for a plane ticket out west to hang with my best girlfriend for a few days.

Any ideas oh wise woman of the camels? You're so much fun, I'm sure you can come up with something better than Chinese take-out.

Happy Happy Birthday Linda. May all your candle wishes come true.

My gift to you, as it is to all of my friends, is to NOT sing to you.

I am loving that cake. Glad you assured us that the chest hair is chocolate sprinkles, because the alternative is...euuuw.

I hopped over to your blog because I have the monday blues and it's only 9:30!

Only to discover that it's your birthday. So party like it's your birthday. Sip bacardi like it's your birthday.

And do it before noon. Because you can!

At the very least, spike your coffee :) I've gotten through many a boring philosophy class that way.

Happy birthday! I hope you have a wonderful day and TG spoils you rotten.

And if you get a cake that's hotter than the Tom Selleck cake, you know we need to see it. Pics or it didn't happen! ;)

Dearest Linda,

Happy Birthday!!!

Love, Beth

P.S. I must say...Emma's birthday cake looks like Freddy Mercury with bugs swarming on his chest.

Happy Birthday sweet friend!

Me? I usually hide. I'm so not a birthday girl. So much that I went in for surgery on my birthday last year. (Hugs)Indigo

I need to send that cake to my cousin on her birthday.
Happy birthday, funny lady. Hope you have all the cake and martinis you can handle!

Happy Birthday, Linda! Our birthdays are close together -- mine was Friday. And we're both 27, right?

I wanted to see The Woman in Black for my birthday, so my husband took me. Scary, creepy, gruesome ... except for Daniel Radcliffe in historical attire. He was eye candy!

But then, I'm a sucker for any guy in historical attire!

Happy Birthday! My idea of birthday bliss would be to eat all the yummy cake I want without packing on any extra pounds. Matter of fact, better yet, I'd like to eat all those delicious empty calories and LOSE ten or twenty pounds.

Thank you all so much for the B-day wishes! I did have chocolate cake, though hairless. Which is probably just as well. And I opted for a Bloody Mary instead of a martini. Had to get my veggies in somehow. ;)

Sorry I'm late, but HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Hope it was wonderful and you had a tipsy, sugar-high day with TG:)

Yahoo! Happy birthday, Linda! A good birthday is when i get to play hooky from my household duties and I spend time reading. Then a fab dinner with family and perhaps a glass of Gundlach Bundschu Cabernet to end the evening.

I hope you had a fab day of your own!
