A little Hump Day NaNo-spiration

I know getting over all those word count humps isn't easy...

And the first draft you wind up with might be in serious need of a makeover...

But hang in there!  Every desert has an oasis...

You will get there! And when you do, you'll find me already there, along with all the other lazy gits not participating, three drinks ahead of you and toasting your success...

Yup. You're going to have some catching up to do.

I will have one of those beers, thank you. And I don't care that it's only 7:30 am.

LOL! I love it!

How did that camel copy my makeup this morning?

Those who are already indulging in the drinks while doing Nano might not find the oasis...ever. :)

That might just be the blog that broke the camel's back. Or is that Tammy Faye Baker? Okay, I'm reaching here. Walking the line between not enough caffeine and too much.

ok, i'm just going to to ahead and ask it. do you have a thing for camels?

I was thinking the exact same thing as Abby! LOL You sure do seem to have a lot of camel pics on your blog. Camels wearing make up, camels in metallic thongs...okay maybe not thongs but that's probably because you couldn't find one of those pics huh? :)

My mom and a bunch of friends participate in Race for the Cure every year. Several of the friends in the group don't actually do the race itself, but instead stake out a table at a bar near the finish line, and drink in support while the other ladies race.

I always admired them for that :)

I actually thought martinis go better with camels (two humps two olives) but by the end of this month, will anyone doing a NaNo really care? lol

I'm not doing NaNo blah blah either. Can I just go ahead and start drinking beer with you? ;) Oh, but I am doing WNFIN. And kicking some serious a**, I'm happy to say! Cheers!

How do you have so many weird pictures of camels? Is this a special collection that you've spent time acquiring? Or did you take a camel out and get it drunk so that it confessed everything you'd ever want to know about double-headed, multiple-humped, drag queen camels?

I'm willing to bet beer and ruthlessness are the secrets to your success, actually.

Candyland -- Cheers! *clinks glasses*

Posey -- Thanks. :)

Jessica -- Glad I gave you a laugh. :)

Summer -- LOL! Aw, sure they will. They just have to follow their ears to the celebration party when they're all done.

Teri Anne -- LOL! That is the Tammy Faye of camels, isn't it?

Abby -- Ha! Not really. Just a Wednesday (Hump Day) theme. ;)

Karla -- Give me time. Who knows what I can come up with before the next Hump Day rolls around?

Tawna -- LOL! Now, that's the kind of support I could get behind.

SM -- Hmm. You have a point. And martinis are always apropos.

Elizabeth Flora -- Sure! The more, the merrier. Oh, and what's WNFIN?

Elizabeth R -- You're on to me. And, boy, do you know how hard it is to drink a camel under the table? Those suckers can put it away.

I'll be with you at the finish line toasting with a lovely glass of wine since I am ont participated this year either. But good luck to everyone who is participating.

Only three drinks...I think you miscounted. They will be doing this for a whole month. We can get a whole lot of partying done in a month!

Hehe. I adore your blog. Always.

Amy -- I consider us "peripheral participators." Support (while drinking) is essential to the success of our NaNo-ing friends.

Demery -- *clinks glass* Cheers! :)

Kelly -- LOL! Good point. I'll order a keg. ;)

Tara -- Thanks. :)
