(Best answer wins a prize*!)

*To be determined later. But it will likely be something silly. Or edible. Maybe even both.)

Lenny Lee said...

hi miss linda!
WHY? because its halloween and the devil made me do it even though i didnt want to and i didnt mean it i just couldnt help it cause that devil is lots more strong than me and he said if i didnt do it he could jab me in the butt with that big pitchfork and for sure i didnt want to get jabbed cause then i couldnt sit down for a week without sitting a pillow so i just did what he said and im sorry and i promise i wont do it again because it got me in soooo much trouble and i dont like being in trouble cause then i get my allowance took away and thats not fun cause then i cant get candy and bubble gum and you know how much i love peanut butter cups and blowing bubbles so thats the reason WHY i stole all the halloween candy and hid it under my pillow. ha ha. have a real happy halloween weekend. why? cause lenny says so!
…happy halloween hugs from lenny

Because you have to travel through "why" to get to "when" :)

Because the last sign, "WHY NOT?" was causing way too much chaos and the townspeople developed neck problems from shrugging flippantly.

Because the road to "WHY NOT" was closed.

Founding a new village is easy. Getting people to stop at the shiny new local B&B and diner? Not so much.

Naming said new village to spark human curiosity and the need for answers? Pricele- ... well ... bringing in the necessary business.

Because I said so!

Looks like the G fell off.
It was supposed to be WHYG -- as in WHERE the HELL are YOU GOING?

Are we there yet?

Why...do we have to put up this road sign when everyone who's anyone has GPS?

LOL! Such great answers from everyone--it's going to be tough to decide a winner. I may have to call in a consultant. In any case, I'll announce the winner of the silly and/or edible prize tomorrow.

Thanks for reading and entering! :)

"The old grey donkey, Eeyore stood by himself in a thistly corner of the Forest, his front feet well apart, his head on one side, and thought about things. Sometimes he thought sadly to himself, "Why?" and sometimes he thought, "Wherefore?" and sometimes he thought, "Inasmuch as which?" and sometimes he didn't quite know what he was thinking about."
