So, you know I went to an air show over the weekend. (Well, you know if you read my Monday post. If you didn't, this is the first you're hearing of it.)
But I'll bet you didn't know I came across a camel there. Oh, yes I did! And here it is:
That, my friends, is a Sopwith Camel. (Photo courtesy of TG & his handy-dandy smart phone.) It's a WWI British single-seat biplane fighter, introduced in 1917. Cool, huh? (I think it's hanging upside down so you can see the pretty part.)
And, for those of you not especially fascinated with airplanes, here's a "Soap with Camel":
And for those of you longing for the real thing:
Can I get an AWWWWW?

Aaaw!
Love to look at those old biplanes, but cannot imagine flying in one, with my fear of heights. I don't even like driving over some bridges!
Speaking of Snoopy...
Also, Awwwww!
You are just so clever Linda. I actually did wonder on Monday if you had seen one.
Awwww. He's so cute.
AWWWWWW :)
this is where i admit (to my great shame) that i actually thought there'd be a camel in the first picture. i was searching like i was looking for waldo...until i read the caption beneath it.
and AWWWW baby camel :)
you're getting clever-er with your camels, grimes. :)
Yup....Awwwwwww.
"Soap with camel" - aaaaagh!
And... Awwww. :-)
The awwwww came after I laughed out loud at the 'soap with camel'. Too funny!
He's adorable!
Awwww.

Groaned along with everyone else at the "soap with"
LOL! That is defintely awww worthy!
LOL! I like the soap with!!!!
Okay, I "Awwwwed" at the camel picture. As for the Sopwith Camel, Hubs is always going on and on about planes, so you pick up a bit. I think they're fascinating (especially when you get into some of the WWI and WWII pilot stories). Pretty awesome you stuck with the camel theme. Happy hump day! (I almost said "Happy humping!" and well...you know.)
Aaaaaaaw. Thanks for the smile today! I LOVE that picture of the real camel. :-)
D'awwwwwwww. Also those camels on the soap look a little...close together. ;)
