Return of the Camels! (And, unfortunately, winter.)

I've had a few people mention that they've missed the camels the past few weeks. So here ya go:

"He's right behind me again, isn't he? With that silly grin on his face.  Damn. It isn't easy being this beautiful."

So, anyhoo, I'm expecting 8"-12" today (ironically enough for a ... oh, never mind; you know how my mind works by now). Sadly, I'm talking about snow. Heavy, wet snow. The kind that breaks tree branches and is a total PITA to shovel.

Happily, TG is home for the day, and eager to play with his snow blower. Which I hope works well on heavy, wet snow, because if it doesn't, I'll be out there with a shovel, alongside him. This will not make me happy.

If all goes well (i.e., the blower works), I plan to pull out my drawer novel and play with it. Because it just feels like, on a snow day, I should be playing hooky from the usual writing, and the drawer novel is calling to me. I have no idea if/when I'll ever decide to send it out into the world, but I can't seem to leave it alone.

Do you have any projects (writing or otherwise) that keep drawing you back in?

Happy Hump Day!

I was waiting for the sleet and crap that was supposed to hit the mountains, but it didn't come. Only the 40 mph winds. I wanted to stay home too and work on something I just started. But now I'm working on something else.

We're getting all that precipitation tomorrow. Today's just our normal bout of snow showers. Tell TG that the key with heavy wet snow is to go at it early and often. Otherwise, it'll be too heavy for the blower to throw and he'll end up making a giant driveway slushie. :) Oh, also, yes. Yes I do have a project like that.

Now, that's a face.

My hubby is home today because of the snow. Unfortunately, he doesn't have a new snow blower to play with. It wants to work on taxes. On the computer. On MY computer. I've told him he can have it at 10:00.

Rats.

I thought I was going to have a "snow day" this weekend when we got a foot of snow with high winds and whiteout conditions. I was looking forward to an afternoon of baking chocolate chip cookies and maybe doing a jigsaw puzzle.

Then one of my buddies showed up at my door with his big four-wheel-drive and took me out to the pub instead. Sucks to be me...

No snow, but a few calling projects. And painters in my office. The result will be worth the hassel :)

Hope you are shovel free!

So far, all we have in southwestern PA is rain and rather gusty wind. Hope it stays that way, because I don't want another snow day and another day lost of our Spring Break.

The only writing project on my mind these days is my 3 book series. I am kind of obsessed with it.

I usually have a long term project on the go which I work on when I want a change. At the moment it's another story set on a farm.

My project at the moment is non writing.

Every spare moment is being devoted to continuing work on our cottage.

Writing is on hold :-(

Enough's enough already, huh? We even had a very light dusting of snow here early this morning, too. My little red car looked like it had patches of lace on it, but it didn't last long. I hope that snow blower did the job. It's been a very long time since I had to shovel any snow, but I don't envy the idea of you having to do it. Much more important things to do. Like that drawer book...

Hope you didn't have to shovel! March is such a tease of a month...
Still working on my "drawer book." Thirteen essays in, now!
