A Special, Extra-Sour Hump Day Treat For You!

Still deep in my altered state (editing), so pardon the short post.

But it IS Wednesday -- HUMP DAY -- and I know how you like your camel fix, so I thought I'd share this:

Yes, there apparently is a bubble gum called Camel Balls. According the label, they're *cough* extra sour. One can only imagine...

I took the liberty of  doctoring up the picture a bit, just make sure it's safe for work. (Come on. Don't even pretend you don't surf your blog roll while you're at work.) Just Google "Camel Balls Gum" if you want to see the un-doctored version. But be prepared. It's quite ... um, impressive.

Anyway, my new goal in life it to get hold of some Camel Balls so I can chew them. If anyone knows where these things are sold, please share.

Happy Hump Day!

"Double, double, toil and trouble
Fire burn and Caldron bubble
Cool it with a camel's blood
Then the balls are firm and good"
A shakespearean like response to your post with a little artistic licence.
-3 withches from Macbeth chewing Camel bubble gum perhaps?

Probably nowhere, because who would eat brown gum??? Oozing, brown gum...

Colm -- I love artistic license! :)

K-pop -- I hear a good coffee rinse helps clear the sinuses. You're welcome. ;)

Kari -- That was pretty much my reaction when I first came across it. So, naturally, I had to share. Why should I be the only one with that image burned into my brain?

Summer -- As long as it's gum, and not the real thing, I'm game. ;)

They're different. Different from anything I'd want in my mouth.

OMFG. Camel BAlls?!

I think that sounds great as a cuss. Ah, camel balls!

i'm with patty. i'd rather use "camel balls" as a new curse word rather than google images of it. thanks for censoring!

That is disgusting. You never disappoint. I offer you this:

At the Lake of the Ozarks, a small little town hosts an annual Testicle Festival. Yes, it is for fried animal balls of all kinds. Yes, my grandmother attends. She claims they are "succulent. Pop in your mouth. LIke mushrooms but tastier."

I keep begging her for a tshirt or a koozie or something. Maybe I'll have to go get one myself.

*gags* Ewww! They made the inside all red and oozy! ZOMFG.

And, yeah, Camel Balls is my new favorite curse word. :)

Happy hump/camel ball day!
Hugs,
Lola

I read this first as "Carmel Balls" so you can imagine my confusion... ;)

Better drink some more coffee before I attempt much else this morning.

EW.

Okay, I googled it. (What can I say, I'm nosy). That's an impressive set of 'gum' that camel has.

Steph Schmidt said...

Second Kristina. I was wondering why the carmel balls had stuff inside and featured a camel mascot until I reread the box.

dianehenders said...

Yeah, I googled it. I'm still laughing helplessly.

Should I be concerned that this made my day?

I can only imagine what these edits are doing to you, girlfriend! I think I'll take your word for it and go by your pic...cuz I'm ascared!!!!

Leave it to you to find something like this. (Love it!)

That's pretty amusing & disgusting at the same time. Funny how often those two go togeather.

Re: "slow blog day" Good lord, I would kill(something) to have that kind of slow day. Hell, I might even struggle & strive for some really long time honing the craft and building a readership to do it.

thanks for this, and for the inspiration for a slightly different post in the same "who the hell thought of that?" vein.

I can't get many blogs at work. They are blocked, darn it.

I really dont' think I could try those gum balls, even though I like sour.

The censored picture (and I think I can imagine it w/o googling it) would put me off entirely.

Hey, but you could upload the pic! Now I'm jealous! LOL
Grrr. Blogger.

Patsy -- LOL! Where's your sense of adventure?

Patty -- Perfect! I'm going to make "Camel Balls!" my new go-to expletive.

Abby -- Yeah! Great, isn't it? Stub your toe? "Oh, camel balls!"

Trisha -- Testicle Festival? OMG. Eeew. Yeah, I want a T-shirt, too.

Lola -- I'm sensing a new trend in cursing... ;)

Kristini -- LOL! THAT must have been a nasty surprise. ;)

Jessica -- And another camel balls curser joins the ranks.

Suze -- Yup. ;)

Sarah -- Ah, a brave googler. Yeah, quite impressive. ;)

Steph -- Reader beware. ;)

Diane -- Ha! That makes me wonder what kind of awful day you must have been having. ;)

Muffin -- LOL! Good idea. I'll just blame the edits for frying my brain.

Susan -- I try. ;)

John -- Kind of sad, isn't it? Can't wait to see what you come up with for your "who the hell thought of that?" post!

Dianne -- Too bad on the blocked blogs. But considering where you work, understandable. :)

Monica -- Blogger likes to keep you on your toes. First is lets you upload a pic, and then it doesn't. And you never know when it's going to happen. Grrr!

Nelsa -- Ha! I'll bet Christmas morning is fun around your house. Sadly, I'm not sure where to order camel balls.

That is just wrong on so many fronts and there is no way I can candy called Camel Balls but if you did get your hands around some, I hope you enjoy them.

Michele Shaw said...

As much as I love almost any kind of candy...just no. I can't do it!

Indigo said...

Bwahahaha! Holy wow, you know I'm going to have to check out the link now right. Thank you! I so needed a good laugh. (Hugs)Indigo

Tara said...

Sadly, I read it as "caramel balls" and wondered why the heck there was a camel. I'm blaming the headache.

Linda G. said...

Kelly -- Alas, I haven't found any yet. But I'm still looking!

Michele -- LOL! Not even if we blindfold you?

Indigo -- You're welcome. :)

Tara -- You're not the only one to misread that. Guess "camel balls" is just not what one expects to read. OTOH, Hump Day on my blog...? ;)
