The Laughing Camel

Wouldn't that make a great name for a pub? Maybe someday, if this writing gig doesn't work out for me...

Nah. I'm not social enough to run a pub. Better stick to making words play nicely together in stories.

Speaking of which, I got my copyedits for QUICK FIX, so I'm holing up with them today (and tomorrow, and the next day...until I'm finished). But I couldn't leave you without a camel, could I? Or a laugh.

So today, for your viewing pleasure, a ticklish camel:

Until I saw this, I never knew camels could laugh. No wonder I like them so much.

On a tickle scale of 1 to 10, I'd say I average about a 5. (Some parts more than others.)

TG thinks he's a 4, but he's really at least a 7, especially if you know the right spots to target.

One of my kids is a 2 and the other is a solid 10. 10s are tickle-able from across the room. All you have to do is catch their eyes and wiggle a finger at them and they're helpless.

Where are you on the tickle scale?

That one's going to stick in my head like a Taylor Swift song.

Is that camel really laughing, or is he saying, "Lady, as soon as i'm untied from the bed of this pick up truck, you are going to be so sorry you touched me!"?

I'm pretty far up the tickle scale myself. *shudder*

that's got to be one of the weirdest things i've ever heard. could you imagine if a human had that laugh?

hey, can ciel take on the shape of an animal or just humans?

i'm an 11 on the ticklish scale. it's highly annoying. i flinched just reading about your kid who's a 10.

Too funny! Reminds me of the time we were camping and a big bug landed on my knee. It was quite a shiny, pretty bug, so I touched it with the tip of my finger... and it reared back toward my finger and squeaked.

I kept petting the bug, and the bug kept giggling for several minutes before it flew off. Everybody around the campfire was rolling with laughter. (Yes, beer was involved, but not *that* much beer.)

Most of me is about 4 on the tickle scale, but there's a spot on one leg that's a 10. Even when I'm getting a massage, that spot makes me squirm and giggle.

Okay, clearly I'm weird.

That was bizarre. It was sort of difficult to tell where the woochie-coochie-coochies ended and the camel laughing began. I just...huh.

Me? I'm a one. Much to the husband's chagrin. ;)

I'm an intermittent 5. Some days I'm hardly ticklish at all, other times my husband's just got to look like he's thinking of tickling me and I giggle like a kid.

I sure hope that was laughter. Since that camel was tied down, it might have been a cry of distress (please don't tough me there).

For myself, not too ticklish but my husband's feet would be off the top of the tickle scale.

One of my kids is a 10--they are so much fun to make laugh like a camel. :o)

That video is hysterical, but if the camel is like me, he isn't laughing. I HATE to be tickled. An uncle used to tickle the kids in the family until we were in tears. Didn't tickle at all; it felt more like sadistic torture. (shudder) So, I'm way down on the tickle scale. (Doesn't stop me from tickling some of the grandchildren, though... or at least pretending to... they giggle as soon as they see wiggling fingers.)

Wah! The video isn't coming up for me. :(

Good luck with the edits!

Me? I'm a 9 on the tickle scale. Yeah. I'm a goner.

Enjoy your copy edits!
I love editing.
No really. I do.

Monster is a 10, but I'm a 2. If at all. My spot is hidden and I'm not telling where.

Best on your edits. I'm in the middle of my own right now too.

I need to bookmark this post so I can come back whenever I need to laugh. Love that camel!

I'm a 10 on the tickle scale. Maybe an 11.

Thank you for finding this. I think it is touching that camels can laugh!
I used to be very ticklish. Now I'm about a 3.

Too funny! My brother has an African parrot who laughs so hard, but we never know whether it's just a parody or if he's really laughing....lol!

Good luck with your edits.

I'm always amazed that you are able to find so many varied camel images on the internet. I mean, it's not like it's CATS. It's CAMELS. Kudos.

Also, YAY! QUICK FIX! =)
