Happy Release Day to Jessica Lemmon!

(No, not that kind of release. Get your mind out of the gutter.)

You may remember Jessica from this post. She's the one who designed my martini-slurping chameleon logo (see above).

Well, it turns out our Jessica is literary as well as artistic! Her first book (from the Forever Yours division of the Hatchett Book Group) is being released today:

You can order it for your Kindle (or anything with Kindle software) from Amazon, and it's a bargain at $2.99!

If that cover and title (I love that title!) aren't enough to convince you, here's what the book is about:

Crickitt Day needs a job . . . any job. After her husband walks out on her, she's determined to re-build her life and establish a new career. When swoon-worthy billionaire Shane August hires her as his assistant, she jumps at the chance to prove herself. Despite her growing attraction to her boss, she vows to keep things strictly professional. No flirting. No kissing. Definitely no falling in love...

Shane August is all business, all the time. He's a self-made man who's poured his heart and soul into his company, and he'd never allow himself to get involved with an employee. Then he hires sweet, sexy Crickitt-and he can't keep his mind or his hands off her. But no matter how much he wants Crickitt, Shane fears that painful secrets from his past will always come between them. With fate working against them, can these two lonely hearts learn that sometimes mixing business with pleasure is the perfect merger?

Sounds delicious, yes? Trust me, it is. I'm reading it right now, so I know whereof I pant. ;)

Now, pardon me while I get back to that sexy billionaire. He doesn't like to be kept waiting.

Oh, wait, the mandatory end-of-post question:

What's the first thing you'd do if a billion dollars fell into your lap?

Hmmmm. Look for the hidden cameras to see who is playing tricks on me?

Yay, Jessica! I wish I didn't have a day job...I could be reading right now instead of surfing social media...I mean, instead of working.

What, you expect me to get my mind out of the gutter now? Well, sure, take all the fun out of it... :-)

Congrats to Jessica! And a billion dollars? I'd probably have a heart attack and keel over on the spot.

THANK YOU, LINDA! :) Woot! I'm partying all over the place today. A BILLION DOLLARS? Well, for starters I'd pay off the darn school loan. (It's like a pet at this point) Then pad my retirement. Then I'd throw a REAL LIVE Twitter party and invite all my cyber-friends. How's that for a plan? ;-D

Oooh, thanks. Sounds like a super book, and I will order it as soon as I finish writing this comment. Congratulations to Jessica... may the $2.99 I send to Amazon help send you on the way to your first billion.

Me? If I had billion, I'd donate it to Congress, of course. Yeah, riiiiight! I'd probably set up big fat trust funds for all the grandchildren. And then go get some crabs to steam for dinner...

I already ordered the book! Now to find time to read it.
Let's see - quit my j.o.b. Vacation to Hawaii for whole family until we got sick of it.

First I would pay for my husband's charity walk across the country, then I'd donate to the charity, then I'd BUY MORE BOOKS!

P.S. Congrats Jessica!
