D'oh!
Wish I could say it's because I've been...
...drinking on the beach, but alas. No such luck. I've just been plain old ordinary busy.
But at least it's been (mostly) a good kind of busy. A lot of book promo stuff, which, while it isn't my favorite part of this writing gig, does make it possible (I hope) for me to continue with the part I love: the actual writing of the books. So I think I have to put it in the "Good Busy" column.
As opposed to the "Bad Busy" column. You know, the laundry and vacuuming and toilet cleaning and grocery shopping and banking and ...gawd, it's too depressing to continue the Bad Busy column.
So, what's been keeping you busy these days? Is it Good Busy or Bad Busy?
Feel free to brag if it's good and whine/complain if it's bad. This is a safe place--you won't be judged for either. :)

Laundry, baking, housework, nursing ill/injured family members, and *whispering* some writing? (I'm afraid to say so aloud because whenever I sit at computer, I get a phone call--someone passed, is sick, needs ride to hospital, or it's realtor and we have a viewing (cue two-day spit, polish, and shine marathon)--not to mention my tendons are still giving me grief. I need to join your beach bathing beauties for about a year and see if that helps. :)
Deb -- Ugh on the whole realtor thing especially. I still have nightmares about the last time we sold a house, and that was more than twenty years ago. I hated being constantly "show-the-house ready."
Ack...Busy is Busy. But it's usually good, because the busier I am, the more I get done (whereas, if I only have one thing on my list, it never gets crossed off).
Busy is good, I'll sleep when I'm dead.
Teri Anne -- Yeah, I tend to agree. But sometimes I think a little boredom wouldn't be such a bad thing... *grin*
I've been busy battling plot bunnies. that is all :)
Karla -- Ha! I know your kind of plot bunnies. They make the killer rabbit from Monty Python and the Holy Grail look tame.
I've missed your hump days! I've been recovering from promo overload, but I'm all better now :)

I've been Annoyingly-Busy recovering from a computer crash. It's a bit of a column-straddler.
It's Bad-Busy because I didn't plan it or want to do it, it took time away from the things I really wanted to do, and my swearing peeled paint off the walls. But it was kinda Good-Busy because now I have a nice new computer...
Diane -- Eh, walls can be repainted. Focus on that new computer!
i'm a mix of good busy (sister's coming to town + online scrivener class + reading + downton abbey season 2) and bad busy (hectic work schedule + cleaning for said sister's visit + after work commitments + + +). BUSY!
Abby -- Here's hoping the good busy outweighs the bad busy! :)
It's all good busy, getting ready for a visit with some of the grandchildren. With the right music playing in the background, even the bad busy isn't all bad.
This was supposed to be a relaxing good busy week. It turned into a horrible bad busy week. Can't wait for it to be over.
Susan -- That sounds like the very best kind of busy! And, yeah, the right music can elevate even the most mundane task.

Linda, I'm less busy right now than I will be in a couple months. So I'm enjoying the lull in the action and buying a bunch of books for my Kindle.
Just the usual...family, house, volunteer work, blogging, and that pesky WIP.
Mine's been mostly good-ish. Must try to squeeze in more of the actually good.
