Me, Emerging from the Revision Cave

What can I say? It's been a busy few months. First The Big Fix release in May, followed by a round of promo, including a fun visit to the RT Booklovers Conference, and then I had to dive right into revisions for All Fixed Up, the next Ciel Halligan UF/Mystery/Action-packed Romantic Romp.

Next up: copyedits and cover-choosing. I'm told the cover will be similar to The Big Fix (yay!). Same cover models*, but posed in a way to reflect the contents of All Fixed Up

*I'm currently trying to come up with a good reason they should invite me to the cover shoot. You know, to provide helpful artistic input. Adjust the guys'...um, collars. Powder their sweaty brows (hey, I'm sure it gets hot under those lights!). Or something. *cough

Or maybe just stand on the sidelines and drool. Whichever. I'm sure I'd be a valuable presence.

So, what have you guys been up to while I've been turning all mushroom-pasty in my cave? Hope your summer (or winter, for those of you down under) is going well!

LOL! That's how I feel! Got the first book to my CP, now working on the second. This story is taking over my life. I love it, but I sometimes have to think if the people I talk about are real or story people :)

Carol -- I know what you mean. They get pretty real in your head, don't they?

Oh the sacrifices you make so that I have a good book to read. And, so very thoughtful of you to want to personally make sure I have a nice cover to look at. You go above and beyond! Thanks.

I was wondering where you were! Not that I've been around myself. But hey, it's great to see you.

Congratulations on another book! And, um, can I go with you to that photo shoot?

It would be so much fun to attend the photo shoot! I don't blame you for wanting to go. Surely there is SOME crucial service you could perform?

My past few months been hurry up and wait. Lots of waiting. Then a sudden flurry of activity and a tight deadline. Then wait some more.

Congratulations on finishing your last round of revisions!

Triple-J -- I try my best. *grin*

Anne -- Great to see you, too! And if I manage to get invited, sure, you're welcome to come! *grin*

Dianne -- I know, wouldn't it? If only I could think of a good function ... something that would make me indispensable. Alas ... *sighs*

HA! I LOVE that picture! That's how our teenage grandchildren look when they crawl out of bed at the crack of noon...

Oh, you should totally get to go to that photo shoot. With a digital camera of your own, maybe. You know, just in case they need some help.

Hey, welcome back! Great photo - I can definitely relate.

And you're going to go and powder the guys' sweaty... what...? ;-)
