What Part of Speech Are You?

One of my Facebook friends shared this:

It was a revelation! All those times I thought I had PMS? I was just being a VERB.

It all makes so much sense now.

Mostly, I'm a just a plain ol' noun. The person, not the place or the thing. (Well, maybe the thing on some days...)

Sometimes, when enhancing those around me (like when I play arm candy for TG at social events), I'm an adjective.

More rarely, I'm an adverb, spurring others on in some physical activity.

What part of speech are you?

[Yes, I know. *sighs* But I was too caught up in The Walking Dead season finale last night to write a real post, and this is what I came up with this morning. Sue me. I'm a verb.]

Can menopause be a verb? The only thing that comes to my mind during this God-forsaken time of my life is DEAD. I don't think that is a verb.

Guess I'm just a boring ol' dangling participle.

I think I am punctuation.

Omg, wasn't The Walking Dead fabulous??? I was all, Eep! Then I was all, Woo-hoo! And, finally like, "WHAT?! You can't end it THERE!!!"

Le sigh.

What part of speech am I? Dialogue from the looks of this post. Lol!.

Interjection! (They show excitement! Or emotion!...)

i'd like to think i'm a verb (all action-y and motion-y and do-it-all-y), but more often than not, i'm a stationary noun.

methinks.

p.s. this is a really fascinating thing to think about.

Hmmm ... in my teaching career, I might be an adverb, pushing action out of other people.

In my writing career, I'd like to be a verb ... getting things done.

But this week, battling a sinus infection and exhaustion, I'm just a noun. Blah.

In the past I've been a conjunction. These days I think I'm an abstract noun. Can't say which one cause it changes a lot.
