Holy Hump Day! What IS that I see? Could it be...

Look what I found in my my front yard this week:

Crocuses!!!

 You know what that means. Spring is coming. In fact, we're supposed to get up to the low 70s today! 

 Granted, there will storms later this evening, followed by a 35-40 degree temperature plunge tonight, and tomorrow is looking distinctly non-short-sleeve-friendly, but hey, let's just take it one day at a time. It's supposed to warm up again over the weekend, so I'd say things are definitely...

    Yay flowers! Our redbud tree is blooming. Does that count toward spring?

    No sign of my crocuses, but that may be because there is still a mound of snow over the spot where they are planted. (Maybe they are under there!)

    I think he's chewing on that top wire. It's an escape plan!

    All my tulips were about 4 inches high on 70 degree Tuesday. Last night we had snow and single digits. I just hope the tulips will survive.

    Daffodils are up here. Obviously she is checking out an alien space ship. She probably wants to know if there are alien camels.

    Our temps plunged too! And I just saw it's supposed to snow again on Sunday. I don't think our spring is as close. WAH!

    Yep, things are definitely looking up. (Might be seeing some of those crocuses through the snow, but hey! Still looking up...)
