I love it.

I wonder if Bruschi and Biscotti realize yet how their world is about to be rocked. Buster was one confused pup for a while after DD was born. He "dogged up" quickly, though, and became her fiercest defender. :)Linda G.https://www.blogger.com/profile/04576828490765434497noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6051602384535005789.post-45551086595604355292010-08-12T08:00:56.224-04:002010-08-12T08:00:56.224-04:00Buster sounds like a winner.

Six years later, she still sleeps in bed with us. *sigh*

When we got Bruschi, we figured we'd train them BOTH to sleep on the floor. For week, St.Matt Bru-pup and I slept on the ginormous - monogrammed - dog beg we bought for the puggles. Biscotti slept on the bed and looked down on us like we were morons.

Which, to be honest, we were.Tiffany Schmidthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07027955587655310354noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6051602384535005789.post-35926115795943060592010-08-11T16:30:31.685-04:002010-08-11T16:30:31.685-04:00SM -- Bear in mind, Buster died a fairly long time...SM -- Bear in mind, Buster died a fairly long time ago. I would've been a blubbering mess trying to talk about him too soon afterward, but time eases the pain, allowing the good memories bubble to the surface.

I hope your dog has many good years left. :)Linda G.https://www.blogger.com/profile/04576828490765434497noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6051602384535005789.post-66637534305344610152010-08-11T16:21:44.995-04:002010-08-11T16:21:44.995-04:00That sounds like one precious pooch. I'm not sure if I'll be able to be as brave as you are sharing these stories when she passes.Steph Schmidthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00975939582442193113noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6051602384535005789.post-1974639527343123512010-08-11T16:18:02.497-04:002010-08-11T16:18:02.497-04:00Tawna -- Awww. Maybe older--the shelter estimated he was 2 when we got him, but they couldn't be totally sure. Buster was almost 12. (Ugh. To say we loved that cat is an understatement. He wormed his way into our hearts and shared a home with us for just under 19 years. Hubs and I got him the month we were married.

It can still catch me off guard when we are watching funny home videos and he waddles into the screen.

Man do I miss him.

Love the pet stories.Kelly Breakeyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07170230808730463954noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6051602384535005789.post-53756655116843221752010-08-11T14:50:49.994-04:002010-08-11T14:50:49.994-04:00It's funny how much Buster and my 3yo have in ...It's funny how much Buster and my 3yo have in common.Candylandhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08956196611348299424noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6051602384535005789.post-84381977777824578602010-08-11T13:17:52.429-04:002010-08-11T13:17:52.429-04:00I just got a new puppy. So the first night I put him in his crate in my bedroom. He whined once and went right to sleep. Night two I put him in his crate. He whined a couple of times. I told him it was bedtime and he needed to go to sleep. Night three when I told him it was bedtime and he needed to go to sleep he cocked his head and looked up at me with those sweet little brown eyes and I picked him up and tucked him into bed with me.Kadi Easleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08567815525192651318noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6051602384535005789.post-34009942070558077592010-08-11T12:36:16.955-04:002010-08-11T12:36:16.955-04:00I have EXACTLY the same story with Pythagoras and ...I have EXACTLY the same story with Pythagoras and our first dog. We, too, had agreed to let the pup cry it out in the kitchen (which we'd barricaded w/ a baby gate). Woke to find Pythag sleeping on the kitchen floor with a very contented pup.

Love the pet stories!

TawnaTAWNA FENSKEhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11468819219529035563noreply@blogger.com
