Friday is For Getting (and Getting Away With) Stuff

If you're one of my Facebook friends, or follow me on Twitter, you may have already seen this. If so, sorry for the repeat. But I think it bears repeating, because I love it.

My baby little younger brother (he's no longer a baby, and he's taller than me) sent me this:

It's necklace. The open book is engraved with the title of my first (about-to-be) published book, In a Fix, on one side, and my initials on the other.

Is that not the most perfect gift ever for a writer? Supremely thoughtful.

And to think, he used to be such a brat ... ;)
